Team Fisherman of Fisherman Canada arrived at Springwood Cottages in early august to fish
Lake Kennebec. This trip we wanted to focus more of our fishing review than the Lodge
review part.
MONSTER PIKE
Upon arrival at the main Lodge, where you check -in, we were greeted by Cezar and Jola the
owners and operators of all of Springwood Cottages including the remote ones. We were
given our key to the Silver Birch and asked when we would be ready to go fishing.
Breathtaking!!
It stands a top a large hill over looking the area. With lots of parking you won't have any
issues for all your family and guests. The open concept and cleanliness of this cottage
made it a carefree stress free stay. The cottage is supplied with absolutely everything
you will need for your stay except for one thing "Bring a towel".
It sleeps 6-7 very comfortably.
fishing trip with Cezar. We met Cezar down by the docks where he had prepared
our fishing boat. It was a 22 foot pontoon boat with a bathroom.
Team Fisherman was in fishing heaven.
Team Fisherman headed out onto Lake Kennebec to our first of many secret
fishing spots only Cezar knows of. In the span of two hours of fishing, we caught
in excess of 25 fish, mostly large mouths. Cezar proved to be a very
profession able and knowledgeable fishing guide.
Our arms were getting tired from pulling so many fish in. We kept a few for our
shore lunch which was incredibly delicious.
Springwood Cottages holds on a weekly basis. The FISHING DERBY FINALS.
It's held at 9 pm on Friday's near a very large bon fire. All the guests from
Springwoods twenty plus cottages come down and attend. Its a great time
for all. Its five dollars to enter and you can win a one week of accommodations
at Springwood Cottages for free. Many other prizes are also given away.
As the evening progressed the stars came out we mingled and enjoyed the
company of all the guests by the bon fore. We found some regulars had been
visiting Springwood Cottages for over 20 years. The fishing and Lodging is that
good.
Springwood Cottages is by far one of the nicest Fishing and Family resorts in Ontario
period.
They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Just ask!!!

This place is packed solid with new and returning guests. Thank you Cezar and Jola for
making this review possible. We will definately be back.
